Set within hundreds of acres of beautiful parkland, woodland and countryside in rural north-east Suffolk, Sotterley Estate offers a chance to stay somewhere a little different.

Our holiday cottages give you the opportunity to enjoy the peace and character of a working Suffolk estate, while being close enough to explore some of the best places the county has to offer. The beautiful beaches of Southwold and Walberswick are only a short drive away, with the Norfolk Broads, Framlingham Castle and Snape also within easy reach.

But you don’t always need to venture far.

There are miles of countryside to explore around the Estate, with walks, wildlife, birdwatching, cycling and horse trails right on the doorstep. There are also plenty of welcoming pubs, cafés and restaurants nearby, making it easy to enjoy a relaxed day out before returning to the peace and quiet of Sotterley.

As a working estate, we are passionate about looking after the land around us. Through carefully managed woodland and sustainable farming practices, we work with nature to create a place where wildlife can thrive, high-quality food can be produced and visitors can enjoy the countryside at its best.

Our cottages each have their own character and setting, offering somewhere comfortable to unwind whether you are planning a romantic break, a family holiday, a get-together with friends or simply a few days away from everyday life.
